We found out 2 days ago that our adoption case has been in PGN since April 30th! Yea! A step in the right direction! Our case worker tells us to prepare for 8 weeks and then another 8 weeks in PGN. They usually find an error in the paperwork somewhere, her birth certificate…something. We don’t know how many weeks between the two 8 weeks either. Nor do we know how long it may sit on the director’s desk to be signed before we get the “pink slip” (that elusive color!) that gives us an Embassy Appointment date 2-4 weeks after the pink slip! The Embassy Appointment is what we go to with her when we go pick her up! We are glad for some good news. It’s been a hard wait knowing that we have been sitting doing “nothing” since March 23rd when we got the approval to go into PGN. It’s hard to watch your daughter grow up in pictures while you long to hold her. It’s hard to see pictures of her with a propped bottle when you long to hold her in your arms and feed her while talking and singing to her. It’s hard to hear your boys talk so sweetly about her and include her in “family talk” when they’ve never even met their sister. I hope that someday, all this pain will be washed away just because she’s here. I have to keep hoping, because “hope deferred makes the heart sick, but a dream fulfilled is a tree of life.” I know that my hope is in God, and this dream is from Him! He will fulfill it in HIS perfect timing.
