All About Katie

I must report the good news! While nothing seems to be happening with the adoption case, God is doing amazing things in the fundraising for our little girl! We had our 4^th garage sale (had 3 last summer) with donated items from church, work and neighborhood friends and raised $1500! So many stories, here are a few:

A neighbor donated all his basement furniture to our sale!

We had so much stuff that I asked our next door neighbors if we could borrow their garage and we filled it as well!

Since Ryan had a choir performance, we weren’t going to open Saturday morning, but the younger boys opened the garage door when they went out to play… only Shawn made it to watch Ryan. (I told Ryan it was his fault: He had prayed the night before for everything left in the garage to sell!) During that time we sold the last 2 big pieces of furniture and an exercise bike. Shawn and I delivered another exercise bike to a girl that lives on nearby! (Shawn had said that no one would buy the exercise bikes. I like to prove him wrong, so worked hard on that particular sale!)

Also, our Life International Fundraiser closed today and they emailed us with the donation list: $4245 was donated! We are so blessed!! We are getting closer to having all the funds needed even before we go to pick her up! Back last January that was a prayer of mine. I just didn’t know how we’d come up with $30,000 so that we wouldn’t be in huge debt when she arrived! I prayed that God would help us save/raise the money before she came! I am now officially changing that prayer to “forgot the money, get her here ASAP”!!
